Is Travel Insurance Required?
Travel insurance is not required but strongly recommended. Hoonah is on an Island with no medical hospital. There is a small urgent care clinic with PA's but no medical doctors. The nearest hospital is in Juneau and should a medical emergency arise you would need to be life flighted to Juneau. You can choose your travel insurance, travelinsured.com is an option but there are many others to choose from.
